3 Book Recommendations for Tea Lovers
As a five - or more - cups of tea a day drinker, you know that I’m always on the look out for tea in my favorite books. So I thought I’d compile a list of a few books that stand out to me as having some fabulous tea scenes and recommendations. What’s better than curling up with a good cup of tea to read a book than having a personalized tea recommendation?
Darius the Great is Not Okay
This YA Contemporary has some truly emotional and precious scenes with tea. How tea can bring us closer to the ones we love. How it becomes almost like a ritual of sorts. And the ways it can give us just a few minutes of reprieve for Darius who is dealing with depression and also on his way on his first trip to Iran. Also, Adib is a tea aficionado and would recommend following him for some fantastic tea picks!
A Magic Steeped in Poison
What could be more on brand than a magical tea brewing competition? This duology features some gorgeous tea magic and mixes it with a dash of competition. But it’s a series with heart and focused on saving our family.
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers
In this recent release, a mysterious death occurs in Vera’s tea shop one evening. Throughout the course of the novel, she decides she’ll solve the murder herself. To me, this is the epitome of a cozy mystery. Plus the tea house? I need to visit Vera’s tea house!
While this list may not be as long as the amount of tea I need to drink before waking up, I wanted to focus on books where tea isn’t just a drink - it’s more than that. It’s about the spaces we gather, the communities we are connected to, and the ways it shapes our lives when we let it.
